Not Your Usual Spring

Whether you’re a month away from graduation and getting ready to start your career, or just looking for a new surrounding, here’s unusual spring colors that will look both flattering and professional for you and some styling tips to refresh your look!

job interview styling

Sheath dress and white blazer make you look mature and professional in stylish way.  Wear your comfortable mid heels pointy toes because you don’t want your employer remember you as that-fashionable-girl-in-high heels.  You want them to remember how professional, smart, and independent you are. In addition, mid heels shoes are better for interview, they are comfortable yet are still shaping your body just as nice as your high heels.   Choose black and white accessories that are minimalist for conservative companies, and add a not-too-much statement necklace for more modern company (especially if you apply to fashion company) then replace you candy arms with a simple monochrome watch. To top it off, don’t forget your Nila Anthony handbag-they look so modernly professional! Fyi, black and white is so booming this spring.  It might not be our usual spring color, but our famous designers such as Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors, have been pushing this trend hard on their runways, so let’s enjoy this fresh trend, shall we?

Go Global in 7 Days

Are you dreaming of traveling around the world? Or are you food lovers? If yes is your answer, you gotta read this post, NOW!

Let’s admit Los Angeles is a “melting pot” of delicious food offerings. Almost every food from every different country is obtainable here.  Something that you might not know is where to get those delish foods because simply there are too many restaurants out there!  Living in L.A. gives you the opportunity to travel around the world by your car!

Now, in 7 days you will travel globally from Japan to Korea, to China, to Italy, to French, then go down to Brazil and last but not least, Mexico!

Fasten your seatbelt; these 7 restaurants will bring you right to their origin!

  • Japan: Daikokuya

Their ramen is to die for! The soup is made from soy sauce and pork bones that are boiled nearly a full day.  The result? Rich, creamy, buttery soup! They use kurobuta or black pork in their ramen that is so tender; they melt in your mouth! Don’t forget to try the boiled eggs soaked in a special sauce- not your everyday boiled eggs! Get ready for a long wait, though!

  • Korea: Soowon Galbi KBBQ Restaurant

Why are they special?  Their meats are very tender, juicy, and perfectly marinated.  They use only the best quality meat.  Their banchan (side dishes) is really good as well; they continually refill your banchan!  The service they provide is exceptional; the serves come regularly to help you cook the meat- no burnt! The best out of all, the price is way lower than the quality they offer to you! Come and bring your friends; it’s really fun to grill your meat while chitchatting with your friends.    soowon galbi

  • China: Yang Chow

Well, I don’t need to say much, do I?  Adam Gertler from Food Network’s show noted their Slippery Shrimp dish “The Best Thing I Ever Ate . . . With Chopsticks.”  The service is not the usual Chinese restaurants service; the servers are friendly and very helpful! Yes, there is a long wait most of the time, but for authentic Chinese food you can ever eat? Worth it!
